| The time has come for us at Seven South Record
Shop to say "So long and thanks for all the fish!" When
we opened the shop in 1997, our goal was to provide an internet presence
for local (Santa Barbara, CA area) independent artists.
As of August 2006, we offered 229 cd's from
136 artists. It has been a rewarding, challenging and educational
experience for this "Mom and Pop" partnership and we hope
it has helped connect many fans of fine, independent music to artists
they may have otherwise not known about.
By this time (October 2006), there are several
very user-friendly websites for self-published musicians, including
CDBaby and Apple iTunes. We are happy that independent musicians
are able now to easily get their music, in song and/or album forms,
out in the internet marketplace.
Many thanks to all of you who have visited,
purchased from and sold your cd's through Seven South Record Shop
over the years. We wish you happy trails and lots of really good
music!
