Serving up a new brand of country, Santa Barbara's SPAGHETTI
WESTERN has been inspiring dancers throughout the "Gold Coast" since the
early 90's. Packing clubs in Santa Barbara, Ventura and San Luis Obispo counties,
the band has performed at larger venues with major Nashville artists, including
Carlene Carter, Jessica Andrews, The Warren Brothers, Challe Tennison, BR5-49,
The Smokin' Armadillos, Paul Brandt and Mark Collie.
At the Country Music Fanfest in Southern California, SPAGHETTI
WESTERN autographed photos and performed for large audiences. When not playing
in clubs, the band writes and works on recording projects. SPAGHETTI WESTERN
has performed at rodeos and fairs; some of these on an annual basis. These performances
include: The GREAT WESTERN FORUM RODEO in Los Angeles, OLD SPANISH DAYS RODEO,
FIESTA PARADE, SANTA BARBARA COUNTY FAIR, TOYS FOR TOTS and the HARMONY WINE
FESTIVAL. SPAGHETTI WESTERN performed live on KEYT T.V., the local ABC
affiliate, KKSB and KHAY Country Radio Stations.
Fans are enthusiastic and have shown their appreciation by
purchasing the band's CD's, tapes and merchandise. It's the SPAGHETTI WESTERN
original songs that are most frequently requested when the band takes the stage,
a true testament to their song writing!
In the past, SPAGHETTI WESTERN recorded with Nashville-based
producer, Boomer Castleman, on a project overseen by Richard Mears of Curb.
Jef1rey Steele of "Boy Howdy" also helped out by contributing two songs for
the band which they did in their own unique style.
The band then went to work writing, recording and performing
several original songs for the movie "DEVIL'S PLAYGROUND" which premiered at
the Santa Barbara International Film Festival this spring. Currently, SPAGHETTI
WESTERN is co-writing and working with Charles Cleek and Stephen Kalinich.
Richard Mears is producing this project at Spectrum Studios.
Doug Carey holds the reins on strong lead vocals and has a
passionate, high energy "live" showmanship performance (he is the grandson of
the famous western actor, Harry Carey, Sr.), Kenny Warren on solid lead guitar
and mandolin, and Joe Ferrario on bass, pasta and inspiration, along with the
addition of Patrick ("PJ") Justesen on drum rounds out the band. Add a mixture
of fiddle and steel guitar, with a solid dance beat, good 'ol two-steppin' and
a little bit of 'rock n' roll,' SPAGHETTI WESTERN is creating the Good,
the Bad, and the Country music of tomorrow .... today.
