"The best way to know God is to love many things" -Vincent Van Gogh
The individual members of Marley's Ghost have known and loved what is called "gospel", "sacred" or "inspirational" music since early childhood. Our religious backgrounds run from Roman Catholic and Episcopalian to Four Square Gospel with many years spent in various church and school choirs. Of equal importance has been our involvement with the ''gospel music revival" which has grown out of late night and Sunday morning sessions at folk and bluegrass festivals like Fox Hollow in upstate New York, Sweet's Mill in the Sierras above Fresno and Strawberry at Camp Mather near Yosemite. It is to all the good people who have raised their voices and spirits in sharing this music with us and to our late friend and mentor. Virgil Byxbe, that we dedicate this recording.
Be excellent to each other. Can we hear an 'Amen'?
