FRODE HOLM
Frode Holm is from Oslo, Norway, and discovered from the age of 3 that he could
sing while skiing! From then on, music has always been his goal.
NORWAY:
Frode became a name on the Norwegian scene as a keyboardist with the fusion
group, "Vanessa", with three albums and a wide following in Scandinavia during
its active years: ~1978. Late in the 70's, Frode recorded his first solo album
as a singer/songwriter on the Compendium label, watched over by "The Big M".
He also produced a number of albums by other artists on this award-winning label
(Billboard '77). In '81, Frode signed with Polygram Records as a solo artist
and made two successful releases in the following years. Later on, he developed
a curiosity for more exotic projects, including the field of computer music.
USA:
In 1988 Frode moved to Santa Barbara, California, to pursue his technological
interest at UCSB, where he's developed new acoustic compiler technology for
music synthesis, as well as teaching classes in digital music.
All the while, he's been secretly writing songs and making music! Frode has
now just released a new album, "FrodoCPU", showcasing his unique style of song
writing, singing and production.
