Songwriter, singer, guitarist, and producer David Crane was born in Vancouver,
B.C., and grew up in Santa Barbara. The middle son of a minister father and
a guitar playing mother, David grew up singing and playing music with his family.
Both of David's brothers played in S.B. area rock and roll bands. David started
playing music and writing songs early on. David passed away in 2004 from liver
cancer. He was survived by his wife and young daughter
David played rock and roll, rhythm and blues, and funky original tunes in S.B.'s
best and worst clubs. Writing acoustic music along the way, he began showcasing
this material in Los Angeles in the early 90's. These songs led to the first
release on Home Group Records, "Crucible."
David was an organic farmer during the day and over the years had done improv
and comedy acting. He had recently been sculpting clay and painting.
As a hyper kid David did a lot of stupid, dangerous and embarrassing things
over the years, though he did have a lot of fun doing them. It's said that he
and Earl LaRoux were like long lost brothers, akin in many
ways, and they did look sort of alike.

Earl LaRoux
Earl LaRoux was reputedly born in Louisiana, yet grew up in Oklahoma, and or,
Texas. In trouble with the law at an early age, and prone to exaggeration, the
details of Earl's
early days are obscure, and possibly shameful.
What was certain was at an early age Earl picked up a guitar and started writing
songs. He apparently played the juke joint circuit, R&B, C&W and R&R covers
being the mainstay.
However in the late 1990's in a trailer park in Bakersfield history was made.
Earl met his wife Nadine and had an epiphany. Not sure what an epiphany was,
Earl proceeded to write more songs, the result is Trailer Trouble.
