Mission Statement
At the age of sixteen, my best friend in high school went through
a pregnancy scare. It really made a deep impression on me how altered
her life would have been if she'd had no access to options in her time
of need. Ever since then, I have supported Planned Parenthood" without
hesitation.
Back then, I started by donating a few dollars per month, and as I could
afford more, I started giving more. Then 7 years ago, I also began volunteering
on the Choice Affairs Planning Committee for Planned Parenthood of Santa
Barbara, Ventura, and San Luis Obispo Counties.
It has been very satisfying to be part of these incredible fund-raising
activities, but I felt that I needed to do something more- to take a stand
in a more public way, simply because I am blessed with the freedom to
do so. That something more has turned out to be Cabaret 4 Choice-. I realized
that it was time to get out and create some awareness about how precious
and fragile Our right to choose really is. We can't take our current freedoms
for granted. Nothing lasts unless it is carefully tended.
We invite you to join our effort to create awareness, and ensure reproductive
choice for everyone.
